Phototherapy is the most common treatment for reducing high bilirubin levels that cause jaundice with newborns. The aim is to expose the baby's skin to as much light as possible to break down bilirubin. Our 77% translucent nonwoven material allows to absorb light outside the eye area favouring light treatment. The baby's eyes are covered to protect the nerve layer at the back of the eye (retina) from the bright light. The part covering the eyes blocks light for 99.92%
For neonates receiving phototherapy. Prevents from UV rays up to 500 Nm.
Remains securely in place with Y-shaped design. Special eye-pad material blocks harmful light to eyes, while headband design allows phototherapy light to reach baby's head.
